Campus Evolution Villages is located a block and a half southeast of Western Kentucky University, just behind the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers Softball Stadium. Most people walk to class, though there’s ample free parking here if you prefer to drive. The campus bus stop is only a block away.

My Campus Life

“Starbucks in Downing Student Union is the perfect morning stop, especially since it is located nearby many of my major classes. A lot of students stop there before or in-between classes because it multi-functions as a study lounge area and a coffee shop. I enjoy spending early mornings there talking with my friends or just relaxing before a long day of classes. Speaking of Downing Student Union, it is an easy bike ride or just a short bus ride on Topper Transit which stops right in front of Campus Evolution Villages. The convenience of having an easy commute between campus life and home life makes for a perfect fit!

If I am in town, I love to grab a quick coffee at Java City. For lunch, I like to eat at any one of the many restaurants WKU offers; Panda Express, Steak n Shake, Papa Johns and Subway. The choices feel endless. Panda Express is my favorite. I usually go for the Honey Walnut Shrimp with fried rice. It’s a classic to me and it tastes really good! Another place I like to go for lunch is the Buckhead Café. It is a real mellow place that has a great lunch menu.

There’s so much to do in Bowling Green! There are two great movie theaters, lots of shops, all the big chain restaurants, and a Shogun Hibachi place that’s extremely fun and all are close to Campus Evolution Villages. I went to Shogun with my friends for my birthday earlier this year and we had a blast. For something a bit more causal, I love the restaurant Cheddars. If you like donuts, you have to check out The Great American Donut Shop.

One of the most unique things to do here is to go downtown to the small stores and eclectic shops like The Tea Bayou where you can get a piece of Louisianan life. The artsy atmosphere and intriguing conversations encourages me to think outside the box. It’s perfect for a psychology major like me.”
