“The best coffee spot is Starbucks – it’s near the apartment, so it’s almost too easy to go there and have a coffee. I take my laptop and work, but it’s always packed with students so I usually end up chatting.
After class, for lunch I usually go to Raw. It’s a great sushi place and it does all kinds of Thai food too. The appetizers are always great and the sushi is really fresh. Lots of my friends go there. I also like to go to Chick-fil-A. Again, it’s a real student place so you usually bump into someone you know.
If I have free time, I love to work out. Sometimes I walk or run in the park. It’s really beautiful there. There’s plenty to do in town. You can go to the movies or go shopping. There’s a mall with all the regular stores in it and there are a few boutiques in town that I really love. Rodeo has great clothes and Songbird is great too. It’s fun to buy a new outfit for something – and there’s always a lot going on at school that you can wear it to.
I love to go to the movies then go out to eat. The theater is really nice and big, and there are a lot of places near there that are great. Personally, I like Ponchatoulas, a seafood place. It’s so good – the calamari is amazing and the seafood pasta is delicious. It’s a really chilled and laid back place.
For BBQ I’d recommend the Rib Shack. It does huge baked potatoes, and ribs, of course, and chicken. It’s all delicious.”
