MY CAMPUS LIFE

“If you need a pick me up in the morning, Fidalgo Bay has pretty good coffee. I love the turtle coffee – it’s covered in caramel. We just got a Dunkin Donuts in town, which is great too, but Fidalgo Bay is my favorite.

For lunch one of my favorite places to go is Dumplin’S. They make a really great brunch, and it’s fun to go there with friends and relax. They do home-cooked fresh food and have the best deserts. There’s one called the Belt Buster, which is a layered pie, with a sweet crust on the bottom, then a layer of rich chocolate filling, then a creamy vanilla layer – and they give you ridiculously huge helpings.

There’s a good movie theater in town, and some nice shops. Carey’s is a lovely boutique and so is Gate 28. I really like Peniques. They have a great selection, and all their fashion is well priced. Oh, and they have a good home décor section. If you want to buy a throw pillow for your room, I’d recommend it.

For a good night out you could start at Shogun. It’s a hibachi grill where the chefs cook the food in front of you, and it’s really entertaining. It’s the perfect place to go with a big group of people. It’s a lot of fun.

If Murray State’s playing, I like to go to the game, but if I want to watch sports on TV, there are two great places to go;  Nicks, or Apple Café. They both do burgers and subs and pizzas. The club sandwiches are probably my favorite. Perfect game night food.”
