MY CAMPUS LIFE

“I’m not a big coffee drinker, but if I want a coffee in the morning, I would probably go to the drive-through Starbucks. It’s so handy, right on the way to class.  At lunchtime, I like to stay on campus and go to the Mountain Lair. It’s a food court with a lot of different options to choose from – burgers, tacos, subs and salads. Most people go there, so you can meet up with your friends and plan your day.

If you don’t have classes, there’s a beautiful national forest close by. People go hiking and biking on the trails, and there’s also a boating marina for sailing and kayaking. I’ve been walking at a place there called Coopers Rock a few times, it’s a great way to spend a couple of hours and really clear your head if there’s something you’re studying that you’re stuck on.

For dinner, I like to cook, but I also love to eat out in town with friends. There’s a great Italian restaurant called Oliviero’s that I’d recommend. I actually went there on a date with my girlfriend and it was fantastic.

I’m a huge sports fan I love to watch basketball and football – and tennis if it’s on. I used to play a lot of tennis as an undergrad, so it’s probably my favorite. At Keglers, they show a lot of games on flat screen TV’s. There’s memorabilia all around and they make great wings, burgers and fries.

I also love to watch college football – I never miss a game here. There’s always a great atmosphere, and everyone has a good time. When we get back and want something to eat, I usually order a pizza. My favorite is from Pizza Al’s. It’s really good and cheesy, and it’s probably the largest pizza you’ll ever see in your life! The box is huge and that’s perfect late at night.”
